What actually changes
On a download platform the flow is link, page, checkout, email, file. In Telegram it is message, shop, order, file, all in the same thread. Fewer steps, and the buyer never leaves a place they already trust.
The trade is discovery. A marketplace sends you some traffic of its own. A Telegram shop does not, so it suits sellers whose audience already follows them.
Rebuild the catalogue, do not import it
Most digital catalogues are small enough that retyping them is a morning of work and a chance to fix copy you wrote two years ago. Upload the file against each product, write what the buyer gets in the first line of the description, and set the price.
Keep both live for a month
Do not switch off the old shop the day the new one opens. Run both, send new buyers to Telegram, and watch where orders actually land. A month is enough to see if your audience follows.
Tell the people who already bought
Past buyers are the ones most likely to buy again and the ones a migration loses. Post the new shop in your channel, and if you have an email list, send one message with a direct link to the bot rather than to a landing page.
Getting paid
Orders are seller-fulfilled by default. On a paid App plan with your own bot you can take card payments inside Telegram, with the money going to your own Stripe account, and digital goods can also be sold for Telegram Stars, which land on your own bot balance with nothing in the middle.
